"Bare footed Gen"

I came across "bare footed Gen(A japanese comic book)". This book had good reviews and was elected as a recommended book. Gen shows the situation of second world war very well and had critical view about japanese army and the japanese emperor. I would like to read this book more and more but it was banned for kids to read this book by japanese government and japanese far-rightists. Are you afraid that children know the truth of past affairs? This anime is little bit creepy but i can feel how much brutal japan and the world was.

Korean Film: Architecutre 101 (건축학개론)

Although Architecture 101 (건축학개론) will premiere tomorrow, I got the opportunity to go to a preview screening. Long story short, the film was actually pretty good mainly because Suzy was in it (하악하악~).
Suzy took on the role of the young Seo-yun, who develops ties with Lee Je-hoon's role. The two college freshmen fall in love with each other but never confess their love because they don't have the courage. Later on, the future Seo Yun (Han Ga-in) goes to see Seung-min (Uhm Tae-woong) for the first time in 15 years to ask him to build a house for her. And together they reminisce about their past broken romance.
All I have to say (because I'm tired of writing shit on this blog (hint: I'm not voluntarily running this blog), and don't want to spoil the movie) is go watch this movie. Is it worth the money? Yes, if you like Suzy (or Han Ga In)... It was for me because I am a fan of her (I like Suzy over IU). For IU lovers out there, sorry, but IU is overrated.

Lee Seung Gi's comeback: King2Hearts

Some pictures of Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won on the set have recently been released.

On February 27, MBC TV released some pictures taken on February 7 on the set of its new drama series King2Hearts. In the pictures, Ha and Lee are dressed in a North Korean officer’s uniform and a South Korean officer’s uniform, respectively.

Ha is playing the role of Kim Hang Ah, a female drill instructor of North Korean special forces, and Lee is playing the role of Lee Jae Ha, a spoiled, carefree South Korean man.

Lee and Ha have an awful first meeting as Lee doesn’t like Ha and provokes her into a quarrel in the drama series.

The officer’s uniforms make them look completely different from the previous images they’ve shown. It was their first meeting, but Lee and Ha worked in perfect harmony and were praised by the crew.

Especially, Ha attracted attention by perfectly portraying North Korean official Kim Hang Ah. As she burst into a laugh while acting in a North Korean accent, the atmosphere on the set was also loosened up.

With positive, bright Ha and polite, pleasant Lee, the set was full of laughs, according to reports.

Kim Jong Hak Production, which produces the drama series, says, “It was Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won’s first meeting, but they worked in perfect harmony and got praised by producer Lee Jae Kyu and the crew. Please look forward to their story.”

King2Hearts will start airing on March 14 after The Moon Embracing the Sun goes off the air.

Every year the festival looks to spotlight certain aspects of the Korean film industry whether it is the role of women in front of or behind the camera or how the country has dealt with war through the ages. This year is no different, shinning a light on the North and South divide which has been prevalent across many of Korea’s films since the ‘Forgotten War’. We shall examine how Korea has dealt with and utilised this in a wide variety of films including The Front Line, Dance Town and Poongsan. Also the festival will look to highlight a more lighter tone of film than the British public is used too with Korean films with a number of comedies and family friendly films.

KARA and SHINee in a new K-Drama

First. No, KARA and SHINee won't be starring in a K-Drama as actors and actresses. But 'Strangers 6', a K-Drama made by a Korea-China-Japan collaboration. KARA and SHINee will be making the opening OST and other music for the drama.

Strangers 6 is a suspense action drama where the three governments (Korea, China, Japan) are putting a project together to prevent a wide-scale natural disaster bound to happen to a fictional city, and a mysterious organization tries to foil the plan. This drama will be aired in 10 different nations including South Korea, China, and Japan. Not every info is available yet, but I think this is worth waiting for!
